Oblivion…!
It’s outrageous…if you like sandbox games at all. There is a main storyline to follow and the NPCs all make it sound pretty damn urgent…but nothing happens if you don’t follow it. :D I’m going slowly and savoring it. There is SO MUCH to see it’s crazy. And I have this problem with not being able to pass up dungeons…they might have loot!
Also, play it on the PC because the mods are great. All kinds of goodies…go check these two sites:
I use the x5 mod (so I don’t have to game the game any more than is already necessary) and the crosshair mod.
I plan on using the BTMod, just haven’t gotten around to it.
Note: Oblivion has one major flaw so far. If you play a character whose main skills aren’t mostly combat and slow moving non combat skills (i.e. - not Sneak), you will level up too fast. How can you level up to fast, you ask? Well, the monsters level with you in this game…so if you’re level 10, so are they. Not all of the monsters, but most of them. So each time you level it needs to be from combat skills. Just keep that in mind as you create your character. Oh, and I’ve heard bad things about trying to go Pure Mage. I don’t know personally as I’m a thief/fighter/mage hybrid.
On the plus side, even if skills aren’t your Major Skills, they still go up and pretty fast and are just as effective as minor skills.
